Make a tax-deductible donation to the Farragut Fan Club...
Thanks to all of our wonderful parents who donated - the teachers' lounge is a huge success. The nurse's lounge is prime for a much needed makeover, providing all of our children with the comfort and tranquility should they have when visiting the nurse. We have found some great pieces of furniture in the Natatorium, but Kathleen needs a new small fridge/freezer immediately as well as some comfortable furniture, filing cabinets with secure locks for privacy, decor, blankets, material and paint to bring this room into the 21st century.
I couldn't have done the lounge without all of your donations. Every dollar TRULY goes a long way at The Good Will, so please feel free to donate, no matter how small the amount. All of our children will benefit and Kathleen will get the much needed organization materials necessary to run a more efficient office. I will place a large plastic donation jar in the front office, like last time. Remember that checks are always welcome also. Hey, maybe Farragut will get its own show: "Lame Lounge Makeovers."
Thanks so much everyone,
Bronwen Hunter
I want to give a big shout out to all the Farragut Head Room Parents. These parents take on extra responsibilities when they sign up as a room parent and most of them still hold down full time jobs, some are single parents, etc. Be sure to take a minute to thank your Head Room Parent for keeping you informed, organizing class parties, class trips, supplies etc.
It takes hours of extra work to make sure that Farragut gets all the volunteers it needs to keep our school running. It is vital to each teacher that she has at least one if not two dedicated head room parents as the teacher cannot possibly do all that is needed in their classroom, plus all the head room parent duties. It's been a pleasure getting to know more parents by being the PTA 3rd VP and I cannot say thanks enough all who stepped up to help.

Hello Farragut Parents,
My name is Kathleen McKernin and I am the parent of a Farragut student and secretary of the Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee to Culver City Unified School District.
At the last PTA/Booster club/CCEF Coffee and Chat, we introduced the new Green5 awareness campaign on which the sustainability committee is working. CCUSD Superintendent, Patti Jaffe, suggested that the Green5 logo be integrated into school "spirit wear" along with other items that are distributed at your individual schools.
For those of you who don't know, the teachers' lounge has been revamped by parent volunteers into a pretty environ- ment for teachers to meet, eat, and relax in.
