If you've followed the instructions on installing SuccessMaker and are having trouble running the software, Steve Levin suggests the following troubleshooting tips:
The most common problem we've seen with Successmaker is running only one of the two setup files which are needed to install it. On the DVD you used to install it, you have to first run the setup file from in the "HomeAccess" folder, and then run the setup file from the main DVD folder.
If that's not the problem, the other common issue is that all of the 30 licenses might be in use. If you try to run it during school hours or at a time when lots of other people are using it, we could run out of licenses. It doesn't necessariy send an error message when that happens, it just fails to start properly. You could test this by trying to run it late at night when the kids are in bed, just to see if it works at a time when we're sure there are licenses available.
If the problem isn't about the setup files or the licenses, another (less likely) possibility is that your web browser is configured to block popup windows or doesn't have Java installed/enabled. Those are both unlikely problems, but you could check in the "preferences" menu of your web browser to see what it says.
